Rachel & Chris ♥ 17 Feb 2018

Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Ross!

Such a cute couple that had a fun marriage ceremony with so many smiles : )

Married under the canopy of an avenue of beautiful oak trees on the rolling green lawns of Bella Rakha Estate in the Waitakeres.

Wish you many more years of happy memories as special as your wedding day.

💍 Lost Treasure ♥ Medieval Love Ring 💍

I flicked the TV on and was mesmerised by this incredibly lucky treasure find.

It is the most stunning ring (apart from my own Engagement Ring ; ) I have laid eyes on. Such meaningful craftsmanship.

Makes you wonder who ever was the woman this belonged to?

David Tutera Unveiled

OMG! If you haven’t seen a episode of this – you have to check these wedding trainwrecks out on Bravo! What I can’t believe most of all is that the wedding planner chooses the Brides dress and the couples actually getting married don’t get much say in their venue, theming or anything else – David Tutera just spend the whole process bossing them around!!! CRAZY!

♥ Love Letters ♥

It is always so nice to get feedback from my couples : )

Plus I do rely on lovely reviews that my Bride and Grooms give me on facebook – unlike wedding photographers or cakemakers, my service is not visual so I can’t entice couples that way (although I do scrub up quite nicely on the BIG day ; )

Thank you to all my newlyweds who have taken the time to send me a thank you card, write a facebook review or send me a quick email. I put all my energy into coordinating your ceremony to make your day special so it really does mean alot to me when I hear from you : )

Plus you’re helping other Brides and Grooms make the decision to choose a marriage celebrant who is professional, has the added value of event management experience as well as keeping you on track and making the process fun!

So if you (whether you were a Bride and Groom, mother of the bride, one of the bridal party or guests) have been impressed with my service and ceremony style please feel free to rate me!

Thank you!!

Wow! Another wonderful wedding season comes to an end for me, with my last ceremony/MC gig in Matakana on Saturday.
Like my wedding ceremonies, when it all comes to the end, after I’ve pronounced my happy couples husband and wife/marriage partners, it always feels as though it’s over all too soon and this wedding season just whizzed by.
A BIG thank you to my gorgeous couples in 2017/18- each of your ceremonies was unique and personalised – just the way you wanted. I really appreciate your kind reviews and words of thanks – knowing that I helped make your day special is why I do this : )
Also thank you to the helpful wedding venue teams, photographers, florists, cakemakers and stylists that have been a pleasure to collaborate with.
I’ll be taking a little time off now to enjoy our new home in Hobsonville Point, catch up on some personal projects and have a holiday in Hawaii. Yay!!!!
I look forward to starting to meet new couples in January 2019 and taking their wedding and MC bookings.
Much aroha, Kimberly x

Can’t you just tell how much fun this cute couple were?!
I loved all the personalised touches Jodi and Daniel added to their big day back in February including the cowboy hat our Groom surprised his Bride by wearing at the altar (a souvenir from a favourite trip to the southern States : )
All topped off by a whiskey ceremony involving a premium bottle of Jack Daniels, another memento from their US trip.
Wishing you many more stateside adventures in your married life x

♥ Why Falling in Love is Like Owning a Dog ♥ by Taylor Mali

This is genius and will be an especially meaningful reading to share with couples who have a doggie in their lives ; )

Thank you to the gorgeous Rachel and Chris who shared this with me.

Here are the words if you would like to use them in your ceremony. Remember when sharing readings, where the author is known, please credit them : )

FALLING IN LOVE IS LIKE OWNING A DOG
First of all, it’s a big responsibility,
especially in a city like New York.
So think long and hard before deciding on love.
On the other hand, love gives you a sense of security:
when you’re walking down the street late at night
and you have a leash on love
ain’t no one going to mess with you.
Because crooks and muggers think love is unpredictable.
Who knows what love could do in its own defense?

On cold winter nights, love is warm.
It lies between you and lives and breathes
and makes funny noises.
Love wakes you up all hours of the night with its needs.
It needs to be fed so it will grow and stay healthy.

Love doesn’t like being left alone for long.
But come home and love is always happy to see you.
It may break a few things accidentally in its passion for life,
but you can never be mad at love for long.

Is love good all the time? No! No!
Love can be bad. Bad, love, bad! Very bad love.

Love makes messes.
Love leaves you little surprises here and there.
Love needs lots of cleaning up after.
Sometimes you just want to get love fixed.
Sometimes you want to roll up a piece of newspaper
and swat love on the nose,
not so much to cause pain,
just to let love know Don’t you ever do that again!

Sometimes love just wants to go for a nice long walk.
Because love loves exercise.
It runs you around the block and leaves you panting.
It pulls you in several different directions at once,
or winds around and around you
until you’re all wound up and can’t move.

But love makes you meet people wherever you go.
People who have nothing in common but love
stop and talk to each other on the street.

Throw things away and love will bring them back,
again, and again, and again.
But most of all, love needs love, lots of it.
And in return, love loves you and never stops.
