It’s not hard to see why these two beautiful people met and fell in love. Though The Green Lantern flopped at the box office, love triumphed. Blake and Ryan were married in 2012 and welcomed a daughter named James in December 2014.

When they were married in 2008, Portia wore a beautiful dramatic backless gown that was designed by Zac Posen. The gown had a ballerina-inspired pale pink tulle skirt and fit her absolutely perfectly. Her bride Ellen opted to wear a perfectly tailored pant suit to the momentous occasion. Both ladies look great but Portia is absolutely stunning (even though she is too skinny).

My Darling and I got married at this breathtaking wedding venue situated on Cheltenham Beach, on Auckland’s North Shore.

This venue has been an institution forever and I can remember going there as a kid with my grandparents. For sentimental reasons this was the perfect venue for us.

Not only did it hold fond memories for me, the buffet food is something quite special you won’t find anywhere else. And the views are breathtaking.

We had our ceremony on the sand, cocktail hour under the tree you see in the photo decorated with tissue pom poms and the reception in McHugh’s. It was the perfect wedding day!

I’m pleased to say McHugh’s is now under new management giving it a new lease of life and managed by wedding specialists who will look after your every need.

Look how beautiful the room themes up and with the view to the ocean you can’t beat it. Give them a call to book your venue visit. You won’t be disappointed.

If you got married in the 80s this is what you probably made your poor Bridesmaids wear!

Here comes the Bride… & Prince Charles…

It was the biggest day of Alexandra Knatchbull’s life and Prince Charles was there to support her every step of the way, making the amazing gesture of walking the bride down the aisle.

The Prince came to the rescue when Alexandra’s father, a close friend of Charles’ and the godfather of Prince William, Lord Brabourne was too sick to give his own daughter away

As the Bride walked down the aisle towards her fiancé Thomas Hooper, Alexandra looked stunning in a classically cut white gown with cap sleeves and an intricate lace veil.

Prince Charles looked proud as punch to be performing this extraordinary honour for his dear friend. Seeing as he hasn’t any daughters of his own to give away I’m sure it was quite a thrill.

Charles linked arms with the blushing bride before entering the church at Romsey Abbey in Hampshire to begin their walk.

Royal family members from around the world also attended the service, including Queen Sophia of Spain, Prince Hassan bin Talal of Jordan and Princess Sarvath al-Hassan.

Ways to Keep Your Romance Alive

In a perfect world, each moment of a relationship would be like that weak-kneed romantic scene in The English Patient when Ralph Fiennes and Kristin Scott Thomas finally get together. So what keeps us from living that swoony, loopy-in-love life? Nothing more than getting stuck in the same day-in, day-out patterns and letting gushiness shift to the back burner. Okay, maybe that and the lack of a beautiful African desert background. Read this easy but so-worth-it way to jump-start both of your hearts and pack as much lovey-doveyness as possible into your daily do. That means seizing every opportunity to sweeten up even the most seemingly unsentimental times together. So ban the quick kiss, share a sexy secret code … and think of other itty-bitty ways to make him lovesick for you every day of the week.

Transform Dinner into Dining
That midweek post-grind meal you devour together? Make it register off the mush-o-meter with some tiny adjustments to the atmosphere. Pull out your nicest dishes and light a couple of candles, even if you’re just having takeout pizza. It’s the mood, not the food, that sets a romantic scene. So stick a bouquet of daisies from the dairy in the center of the table, lower the lights, and turn up the romantic music. And they do say the way to a mans heart is through is stomach!!
